The Mill on the Capitol Hill Seattle Blog
We’re very excited to share that The Mill and a couple of our members were featured in the Capitol Hill Seattle blog!
“It’s been one year since The Mill opened its doors, effectively doubling the coworking space on Capitol Hill. Since then coworking businesses in the neighborhood have grown to include around 160 members at 3 locations —Office Nomads, The Mill, and Agnes Underground.
CHS checked in with Mill owners Keith and Jana Harper to see how business was faring and to get a peek into what’s happening at a few of the Mill’s, mostly hidden, single-desk operations.”
We *LOVE* UW Surplus
For those of you who have visited The Mill or checked out our photos on Facebook, you know that none of our furniture is new. Most of our desks are huge, heavy school teacher desks. None of our chairs match. Our couch is from 1966. And even though nothing matches, we get compliments all the time about the look and feel of our office. One person even asked us to design their office!
We purchased the majority of our desks from UW Surplus. UW Surplus is awesome - the furniture is funky and the price are extremely affordable. Better yet, they even provide a few strong guys to help load your truck! If you haven’t had a chance to check out UW Surplus yet, we recommend it. And if nothing else you will get a huge kick out of the product descriptions on their website.
One of the best things about owning used furniture, aside from it being environmentally friendly is that if it gets broken or someone spills a glass of red wine on it we’re not out thousands and thousands of dollars!
Welcome lunch for our newest member Ali Wiezbowski!
